Cooperation between Dimes and Polat
Dimes, one of the biggest fruit juice producers of Turkey adds extra value to its business processes thanks to the separators particularly manufactured for its own business processes by Polat Makina.
Dimes which has turned the 50-years old longing and dream of the people of the region into reality with its factory in Aydin, Sultanhisar continues to make investments and grow as one of the biggest fruit juice producers of Turkey. Having a hundred thousand tons of fruit processing capacity annually, Dimes increases its capacity in each year. Musa Çakır, the factory director who stated that they use Polat Makina separators in Sultanhisar Facility of Dimes said that: “A domestic firm has brought in something new in Turkey and developed double separator peel oil removal system.”
Stating that they aim to present the domestic orange to the industry and country service in addition to the meal tables as Dimes, Çakır expresses that: “Did you know that we used to import citrus juice concentrate even though Turkey has such rich and fertile soil.” Stating that Dimes carries out export into more than 100 countries, Çakır states that: “Our biggest exporter is England. We are assertive in African and American markets. Sales in the Far East have climbed up.”
Çakır summarizes how their path with Polat Makina has crossed that: We had a raw material of which quality satisfied us and we also had an idea to utilize the wastes of this raw material. The research we made pointed us to Polat Makina. We visited Polat Makina along with our production engineers and our R&D team, and we talked about the project we wanted to realize. Expert team of Polat Makina manufactured a new machinery based on the project we wanted to realize. Namely, a domestic company in Turkey leaded the way and manufactured a double separator peel oil removal system for Dimes. We carried our pilot-scale experiments in the portable separator they prepared. In our experiments, we obtained two separate products from the separator outlet and our belief in this accomplishment increased by folds. Polat Makina had made the last adjustments on the portable separator and they manufactured the dual outlet separator for us in We conducted experiments for 15-20 days with the technical staff of Polat Makina and the results we got were satisfactory enough. We established our line in 2016 September.”
Stating that they add extra value to the firm thanks to Polat Makina explains that: “Thanks to the separator, we have seen how the peel, which we had utilized as animal feed before, can be turned into value after being processed. The peel oil is now valued as an input. And the fact that peel oil is used as raw material in many different industries led the external dependence to reduce.
Stating that Polat Makina always prioritizes the customer satisfaction, Çakır expresses that: “Polat Makina always conducts researches and develops to manufacture the machinery which will provide the intended efficiency. Customer satisfaction is one of their priorities. They do not consider they role ended after selling the product, they also provide full after-sales support.” Mentioning about the price advantages provided by Polat Makina, Çakır says that: “Being able to purchase a world-standard machinery with a more reasonable price is of great importance for us, the producers.
