Çorum Waste Water Treatment Plant which started to be operated by Çorum Municipality was established to aim realize domestic and industrial waste water treatment and to leave them to the nature afterwards. Çorum Municipality Waste Water Treatment Plant which ended belt press process term in sludge dewatering process and started to use decanter system in 2012 obtains high efficiency thanks to the decanters designed by Polat Makina.

Yasemin Agca, Responsible Personnel of Çorum Waste Water Treatment Facility with 60 thousand of water capacity on a daily basis approximately states that the plant meets all needs of the province even though contamination parameters are more than provincial infrastructure. Stating that they have used 2 decanters of Polat Makina since 2012, Agca says that: “Our facility operates for 24 hours non-stop. Water comes in and goes out constantly, therefore, we always have sludge. Machines are required to operate constantly and to answer to us at all times. What we understand from efficiency is to operate any machinery at any time and solve any problem within the shortest time. We have not had any problems in this regard.”

Reminding that decanters operate through automation system, Agca states that: “We have obtained numerous economic and environmental advantages by adapting to decanter system in sludge dewatering compared to the belt presses.” Expressing that they have obtained higher quality and environmentally-harmless sludge, Agca states that: “Compared to belt presses, switching to decanter system in sludge dewatering, ensured less polymer usage, less water need, less maintenance costs, sludge cake with higher solids, and very little flock escape to the facility from the filtrate water.” Stating that they have obtained high efficiency from Polat decanters, Agca says that: “Its fast and effective service network affected our choice to follow our path with Polat Makina."
